Dear Prachyam Community,

We wanted to give you a quick update on our "Ten Indic Films" project. Initially, we planned to create ten documentaries on important civilizational topics, raising funds through crowdfunding. The goal was to release a film every month, but it's been over two years, and we only have two films so far. Therefore, we feel the need to update our supporters on the current status, challenges faced, and future plans. Here's a simple breakdown of what has transpired so far.

Our first film, "Sahebs Who Never Left" took longer than expected. Research and compilation took six to seven months, resulting in a 32-minute film. Our initial plan of making 10-to-15-minute films for 10-15 lakh rupees each turned out to be too optimistic. "Sahebs Who Never Left " became so extensive that we had to split it into two parts. Part one, a 30-minute film, gained millions of views on YouTube. Part two, almost an hour long, took another 6-7 months to produce.

So far, we've created one and a half hours of content, surpassing the total duration of our initial plan. However, we want to clarify that we are committed to making all ten films - without compromising a bit on the quality.

Now, the good news – "Guru Shishya Parampara" is ready and set to release this month. This one is a full 30+ minutes! Following that, we have "Aryan Invasion" (formerly "Aryan's Never Invaded") as our fourth film. Afterward, we'll work on "Ramayana," "Mahabharata," and "Antiquity," three films focused on dating historical events. Additionally, there's a two-part film, "India's Contribution to the World."

We understand there's been a delay, but we are working diligently to deliver quality content. The scope has expanded since crowdfunding, and we appreciate your continued support.

Regarding the rewards for our crowdfunding supporters, we promised perks, and one key element was giving credit to contributors. Some have raised concerns about not receiving credit. The reason for this is the politically sensitive and charged nature of Sahebs I and II. Due to safety concerns, we haven't credited even the filmmakers involved.

Moving forward, starting with "Guru Shishya Parampara" (GSP), we will begin giving the credits and fulfilling the promised perks. We understand the importance of recognizing your support.

To enhance transparency, we're creating a detailed page on our OTT site dedicated to the Ten Indic Films project. This page will link directly to the actual films and offer more information.

Also, we understand there's a concern about whether our films on our OTT platform will be free or paid. To clarify, all Indic films will be available for free. Initially, when we launched "Sahebs Who Never Left" there was a compulsory signup requirement. However, we want to make it simpler for everyone, so now, there's no need to sign up to access the ten Indic Films. They are freely available for everyone.

Dear Viewership, Prachyam is deeply committed to reshaping Indic content. Reflecting on the body of work we've produced on our new OTT platform; it might be easy for people to overlook the significance of Hindus having their own OTT. Yet, this achievement was a distinct dream when we started this journey. The "Ten Indic Films" project is just one facet of our broader initiatives.

Before delving into film production, we confronted censorship challenges, especially considering the potential censorship of "Saheb's Who Never Left Part II" by YouTube. To navigate this, we strategically introduced our OTT platform. Essentially, Prachyam operates as a conglomerate of three entities. There's a tech side related to video production and OTT technology, a film production side, and a creative agency handling graphics and social media. Within Prachyam, a creative agency, production studio, and a Software as a Service (SaaS) startup coexist.

Currently, we are actively seeking funds to sustain these endeavours. The Indic films are a crucial part of our broader vision, and we remain dedicated to making them accessible to all for free. No signup is required; all you need to do is share the link and join us on this exciting journey.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who has been a part of this incredible journey. Your support, both in terms of funding and enthusiasm, has been the driving force behind Ten Indic Films. We acknowledge the unexpected challenges we've faced, but your patience and understanding have been our pillars of strength.

As we continue to forge ahead, we invite you to join us in this exploration of Indic heritage and culture. Your contributions, whether big or small, are helping us redefine Indic content on a global scale. Together, let's celebrate the diversity and richness of our civilization.

Spread the word, share the stories, and be a part of the Prachyam family as we venture into a future where Indic narratives shine brightly. Thank you for being an integral part of this transformative journey. Stay tuned for more, and let's create history together!

Warm regards,

The Prachyam Team.
